Let Rest Be Your Second Nature
Matthew 11:28-30
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Let rest be your second nature. As the LORD spoke this to my spirit this morning I could hardly wait to look the term up; second nature. Of course we've all used it and have knowledge of what it means. Yet, have you ever known what something meant, and still found yourself struggling to put it's definition into words?
What was interesting to me is not the "something you can do easily" part. For GOD said in HIS word that HIS yoke is easy and HIS burden is light. What excited my soul was the words that followed because. "You have done it many times before."
I spoke with one of my "sisters from GOD" on yesterday, and she shared with me that it's almost like second nature to rest in GOD in this season in her life. I could relate, as I looked around at all the things I "seem" to need provision for. Yet my soul rests knowing that our Heavenly FATHER has already taken care of all things.
Logically we should both be pulling our hair out. We should be stressed and crying. Yet, I praise the LORD that there is no logic in Faith. For our GOD has done "it" many times before (provided, made a way, performed miracles, etc.), so we rest in HIS word and HIS promises.
We both have experiences of GOD telling us to do something so crazy to the human mind. So much so that in past times we have delayed, questioned, been fear-filled and at times just been disobedient. However, in this season of our lives we have decided to plant our feet in the word. We have made a decision to trust GOD to do just what HE said HE would do for us. We've chosen to be completely obedient to HIM and wait on HIM!
If you are tired of sleepless nights and frustrated days; may I suggest that you take HIS yoke? It is for sure easy and I promise you that GOD comes through every time; I've got testimony to prove it! I bet if you stop for a moment, you'll see that you do too!
