It was never yours!

2 Chronicles 20:15-18 ESV

And he said, "Listen, all Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem and King Jehoshaphat:  Thus says the LORD to you, 'Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed at this great horde, for the battle is not yours but GOD's.  Tomorrow go down against them.  Behold, they will come up by the ascent of east of the wilderness of Jeruel.  You will not need to fight in this battle.  Stand firm, hold your position, and see the salvation of the LORD on your behalf, O Judah and Jerusalem.'  Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed.  Tomorrow go out against them, and the LORD will be with you."  Then Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before the LORD, worshipping the LORD.

Are you tired of fighting?  Well, I'm here to tell you that this was never your fight to begin with.  Yes, I know.  It's not always easy to see it that way.  Yet, I will tell you that the peace that comes from waiting on the LORD to fight for you is so amazing!  There is just no words for it.

The word says to not be afraid or dismayed.  The LORD would not tell us to not be something, if HE didn't already know that things would happen that would bring about fear and uncertainty in our lives.  HE goes on to say that the battle is HIS.

I love how the word goes on to say.....Tomorrow.  So often we wait for GOD to show up to fight for us.  Yet in our minds, we behave as though what we are waiting and trusting GOD to do will not take place.

You will not need to fight in this battle.  That in Vivianology means for us to be quiet and to not fight on any level.  HE goes on to say stand firm, hold your position, and see the salvation of the LORD.  GOD has given you a word; stand on it and don't give way to the enemy.  For the LORD is with you and will perform HIS promises to you.
