Right before we stop believing
Exodus 14:13-14 ESV
And Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid, Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which HE will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace."
Right before Moses spoke these words, the Israelites said to Moses. "Why did you bring us here to die? Were there not enough graves in Egypt?"
Often the Israelites are criticized for their doubt when it seems their road was coming to an end. We can look at the whole story and perhaps judge them. We may say why didn't they believe after GOD moved on the Egyptians hearts causing them to give HIS people their possessions on their way out? Or why wasn't the cloud and the pillar enough for them as they traveled to keep them believing in HIS promise of deliverance?
Yet, we ourselves may see the hand of GOD over and over again in our lives, then we get to the point where there "appears" to be trouble behind us. It's closing in on us and we're running out of time and no where to go. We cannot see anything but water ahead and our enemy behind us and growing closer and closer.
I want to encourage you today. Such a situation is the perfect set up for GOD's miracle. GOD will always speak (act on our behalf) right before we stop believing. Hold fast to your faith! GOD has not forgotten you. HE is the one who sent you where you are. HE is the one that has directed your path. You followed HIS direction, so you must rest assured that your story's end will be great!
Today, recall the many times that it has looked as though things were over for you, and GOD stepped in right on time. Then rest assured that it will be no different this time!
