The Blind Walk

Genesis 12:1  ESV

Now the LORD said to Abram, "Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you.

At some point we are all going to arrive at a crossroad.  You will either trust GOD or you will stay where you are.  Abram in this point in his life was asked of GOD to leave everything he knew; to leave his secure place and go.  GOD did not give him directions on where he was going.  HE simply said go and then I will show you.

Are you asking GOD where am I going?  LORD what is my next step?  How will I arrive at my destination if I don't have a map?  Well, having a map and knowing is not faith.  Having a map gives us too many options.  We in our humanity would take that map, re-route ourselves, because we think our way may be shorter, easier or better.  Yet, HIS way is perfect and HIS way is safe.

I want to encourage you to step out on faith.  Go ahead and write that book.  Go ahead and submit that plan to your supervisor.  Whatever, it is that GOD is telling you to do; do it.  HE already has the details worked out.  HE is just waiting for you to have the faith to move.
