Genesis 37:23 NKJV
So it came to pass, when Joseph had come to his brothers, that they stripped Joseph of his tunic, the tunic of many colors that was on him.
As I sat this morning and considered the things my son has faced over the last couple of months, my soul was full with joy. Not because I've had to watch my 17 year old again face unfair circumstances. But because I've watched him week after week deal with things most grown men could not, yet remain full of faith and integrity.
Then I was led to this scripture and reminded of something one man said to me about my son. You see in this scripture Joseph's brothers stripped him of what was "on him". Yet, they could never strip him of what was in him.
A man said to me on Friday, what this current situation has done, is it has drawn out of your boy what was on the inside of him. His character has come forth and it is shining bright. You see the fire that was meant to burn my son, has only polished him and shown the world around him JESUS that lives on the inside of him.
I have never been prouder as a mom in both my children in all of my life! So today, I encourage you to allow the JESUS on the inside of you to shine through like pure gold! Life may not be what you'd hoped in this moment. Yet, the LORD's promises to you shall come to pass. So don't let your temporary moment cause you to make a life changing decision. For this time shall pass.
