Appointments
Habakkuk 2:3 ESV
For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end-it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.
An appointment is defined as an arrangement to meet someone at a particular time and place. Many of us think of our physicians when the word appointment is mentioned. For the doctor's office is not a place any of us ever wants to go without an appointment. Should you go without an appointment, you have no promise of being seen by your doctor. You sit with the hope that someone else will cancel their appointment, just not show up or be in and out so quick that the doctor can stop by your room briefly and see you. For, if none of these things take place, you can find yourself at the end of the day never have been seen by the doctor and leaving the office with the same issue you came in with.
I am here to tell you today, that you don't have to wait for anyone to lose or miss their spot. You don't have to just hope and sit and wonder if you will get an appointment. You don't have to fear that the great physician will be too busy and walk past your room. You are not going to leave the same way you came to JESUS.
There is an appointed time for you and your promise. I know that sometimes it seems like HE'll never come by your room. Well, let me assure you that JESUS is not over booked and HE will not send you away without the blessing HE has promised. You are not only going to leave whole (healed to a place where there is no evidence your issue ever occurred.) But everything HE has promised you will be fulfilled.
Do not be discouraged by the wait. There are things you cannot see happening while you wait. Others around you are being healed (just like in the doctor's office) and everything you need is coming together so that at your appointed time you will receive all that GOD has in store for you!
