Day 10 - #Thankful21

Psalm 127:3 ESV 

Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward.

Today I am thankful for motherhood!  For today, 20 years ago. GOD gave me the most amazingly beautiful baby girl.  She was different from the beginning.  I knew it.  She never whined or cried when she was sick. She'd smile and laugh while having an ear infection that made her pediatrician give her a dose of medicine so strong that we had to remain in her office for 2 hours while she monitored the princess.  The doctor could not believe that she was not screaming and crying and complaining.   

I've said this before.  Women are the only portal through which souls have been chosen to enter this time side of life. If that alone isn't enough.  We get blessed to nurture and guide souls.  The trust that GOD puts in us!  

I'm no stranger to children. Even at 22 when I was married 2 years and giving birth to my daughter. My parents were always allowing someone to have a place to lay their heads.  My mother was also a home daycare provider and I have two younger siblings so I know how it goes.  Yet, she was nothing like anything I had seen before.  Besides her beauty, she has this smile that radiates.  Her laugh is infectious and she just lights up a room.  I know I'm partial, but I'm also so very blessed.  I know GOD favored me when HE gave me my children.  They have changed my life and saved me from many a dark days.

So today, I say thank you LORD for honoring my request to be a mother, and hearing my prayers and honoring them as I prayed for my children many years before I had a clue how my life would turn.  Yet, you knew and you blessed me LORD!
