Day 20 - #Thankful21

I John 5:14-15 ESV

And this is the confidence that we have toward HIM, that if we ask anything according to HIS will HE hears us.  And if we know that HE hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of HIM.  

As I reflect back over my life today.  I look around and I see how GOD not only hears us, but HE answers.  

I spent about an hour between 2:30 am and 3:45 a.m. speaking with my father. The LORD woke me up and my father was in the hallway.  Of course I got up to check on him.  HE just talked and talked.  Yet, as I sat listening to my father, my heart was full of joy, because I was about 15 years old and I was up one night, praying and asking GOD to save my dad's life.  Twenty-seven years later, I'm up listening to my father talk.  

I began to reflect today, over the last few days of my life, which led me to reflect over months and then years.  All I can do is thank GOD for hearing my prayers and answering them.  HE has not always answered the way I thought HE would, but HE has always answered best.  So, right now, in this season of my life I can tell you that GOD is real and HE is faithful.  The prayers I've prayed my entire life has brought me to this day where I am seeing the goodness of GOD manifested in my life.

I want to encourage you to keep trusting GOD. Continue to believe HIS word for your life.  Don't give up!  Rest in the knowledge that your Heavenly FATHER hears you and that it brings HIM joy to bless you.  May you always find a reason to be Thankful to GOD no matter how things look or feel!
