You're almost there!

Galatians 6:9 ESV

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.


So often we quit right before our breakthrough.  I want to encourage you today to keep going.  Keep on pushing! 

There was this comic strip I was reading one day.  I will never forget it as long as I live.  There was a man who was stuck in a cave.  Some how it had closed in on him.  He had an apparatus that allowed him to dig through the stone on the opposite side of the cave.  Day in and day out for months he dug away.  Finally one day he was digging and right as he was about to breakthrough to the other side where a rescue team was.  The man decided within himself that it was all useless.  So he turned around, went back into the cave and died there.  The caption at the end of the comic read: "Don't give up.  You're closer than you think."

That image stuck with me because he literally was just a couple more strokes away.  Just a few more swings and he would have broke through the last layer of stone.  As I read this comic I considered all the things I had walked away from at that age; all the things I allowed fear to keep me from.  Was I really that close when I gave up?  Well, I'm no longer willing to have such regret or doubt.  I am going to run on and see what it's like on the other side.  There is indeed an "other side"!

Will you go with me? Will you hold fast to the word of GOD and believe that your blessing is on the other side of your struggle?  Will you take GOD at HIS word and keep pressing?  I pray you will. For I know that my GOD cannot lie and that all HE has promised shall come to pass.
