Know
Psalm 46:10 NIV
HE says, "Be still, and know that I am GOD; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth."
The issue we usually have with being still is that we don't know what will happen next. We often spin our mental wheels trying to figure out just what GOD is going to do. So, LORD you told me to do this; I've done it. Now you are telling me to be still?
Yep, you've got it! Whenever GOD tells us to be still, it is not because HE wants us to stress out or come up with a million ways on how this thing might end. HIS words are simple. HE says, Be still and know that I am GOD! The only thing we need to know in any situation is that HE "IS' GOD! Those are not just words HE spoke to fill lines in the bible or to speak vainly to HIS people. To know means to understand; be aware of, or perceive; to be sure of. (dictionary.com). You see, to know GOD is to know that HE is all powerful. To know HIM is to understand that there is no situation that is too big for HIM. To know GOD is to know that HE is undefeated and carries only victories. To know GOD is to understand that there is no good thing that HE will withhold from you. To know GOD is to perceive that HE is doing a new thing and that whatever HE sees fit to make happen in this situation will always be for your betterment.
So rest my friend in the knowledge of GOD. Be still HE is working things out for you! I am praying for you!
