Make Room

Isaiah 54:2-4  ESV

Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; do not hold back; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes.  For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left, and your offspring will possess the nations and will people the desolate cities.  Fear not, for you will not be ashamed; be not confounded, for you will not be disgraced; for you will forget the shame of your youth, and the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more.

The presence of fear in your situation does not mean that you are on the wrong path.  It's quite the opposite.  You see fear is the opposer of faith.  It shows up every time you are in a life changing, dare I say elevating situation.  You see faith is the thing we need to please GOD.  Yet, for us it is often hard, because we want to see the end  before we take a step.  We want to be guaranteed a win.  Yet, we fail to realize that when GOD speaks; when HE has given us a vision and direction, that failing is impossible.  Still not convinced.  Well read the text again.  Why would the LORD instruct HIS children to not be afraid after HE has given them the command to enlarge their tents?  It's because HE knew that the spirit of fear (which is not of GOD) would come upon them; so HE spoke against it.  Then HE goes on to give them the guarantee they needed; HE gave them HIS word.  HE said you WILL NOT be ashamed.  HE went on to say don't be confounded.  Meaning don't get in your thoughts and let confusion set it.  Don't consider the things that have happened in the past.  For this blessing that GOD is about to bestow upon you, will make you forget everything in your past that didn't work.  You'll forget all the hurt and the pain.  Why?  Because what GOD is about to do is so major.  HE's taking you to a level where the abundance is so great you won't have time to focus on the past.

Keep in mind that everything that has happened in your life up to this point has happened for a reason.  Nothing has gone without purpose and is all to the Glory of GOD.  The only thing that will make the difference now, is if you will step out and actually make room for what GOD is about to do in your life.  HE has told you to start a business, write a book, change your career or broaden your ministry.  I pray today, that you will begin to stretch out your tent and prepare for what GOD has for you in this season.  You may not understand it, you might not even be able to see it in your mind.  But remember that GOD's ways are not our ways and that HE cannot lie.  It is impossible for GOD to do so!  So rest in what you KNOW about HIM and get to moving your feet.  I'm praying for you while I stretch out my own tent.
