Redeeming the Time
Hebrews 11:11 ESV
By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered HIM faithful who had promised.
Time. Man we never "seem" to have enough of it. It "seems" to be so fleeting. Yet, I dare you to change your perspective on time. Yes, I know we still have only 24 hours in a day. I know we still have 8-12 hours a day to get work on our jobs completed. Yet, we often forget that the GOD we serve is not a slave to time. If GOD has made you a promise and it "seems" that you've run out of time, remember that HE has not. HE is also not a man that HE should lie. So in spite of what it looks like, don't lose hope. Don't you dare stop believing and don't you dare stop working.
Hold fast to your faith. Work your faith. Which simply means to keep working by faith, in spite of what you see with your human eyes. Keep hoping past hope and believing that HE who has promised you is faithful. For HE is indeed just that!
I've been waiting for several years for a promise to be fulfilled in my life. Yet, what I've realized lately is that it wasn't me that was waiting. Yes, it's been years. Yet, in those years the LORD has molded me into the woman of GOD I needed to be in order to receive the promise. I'm not discouraged by the years. Even though there have been moments when I thought for sure, this is it. Yet, I had to wait a little longer. Now, I've chosen to take the stand that if it has not come yet, the delay (or so I think) is also for my good. I tell myself, this is about to be so great, that it's worth the wait. You see, I know my waiting on GOD will never be in vain and neither is yours. So be of good cheer. No matter what your age is, if you're reading this, you're still alive and GOD's promise to you is still true. So prepare for it; it's coming!
