My Confidence

1 John 5:14-15 ESV

And this is the confidence that we have toward HIM, that if we ask anything according to HIS will He hears us.  And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of HIM.

The word of GOD is my confidence.  It is the only sure thing in this life.  Yet, because it is sure, so are the answers to my requests.  Don't get stuck on the fact that what you requested "appears" to be taking longer than it should.  If GOD is GOD (and HE indeed IS!), then trust the perfecting of HIM; trust HIS process.

HE knows so much more than we do.  Even the most intelligent person on the earth is still dumb when it comes to GOD and HIS knowledge.  I cannot tell you when GOD is going to do all the things you've asked of HIM.  Yet, I can tell you to be confident in HIM and to not miss out on your blessings because you're in a corner pouting when something does not happen the way you thought it should.  Just trust HIM!!!

I promise you, our GOD hears you.  The question that remains is do you hear HIM?  Do you listen to HIM when HE is speaking to you?  Will you trust HIM when HE directs you to move in the opposite direction of the very thing that you are asking HIM for?  Will you trust HIM wholeheartedly then?

HE is my confidence and I wait expectantly for HIM to honor all of my request according to HIS will.
