II Corinthians 12:8-9 ESV

Three times I pleaded with the LORD about this, that it should leave me.  But HE said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness."

So I've heard or read this scripture numerous times.  Having what I thought was an understanding of its meaning until today.... Yep.... Can you say revelation......

As a young girl when I first heard this scripture I thought to myself, "Why wouldn't GOD just remove it?"  Truth is I have even asked this same question as an adult, whenever this scripture was preached which seemed to be during a time that I, myself just wanted out of a thing.  Thinking....LORD just make this pain go away......

But today as I sat in a situation of my own making.  I found this immeasurable peace.  And I heard the LORD say, "Continue to remain in expectation of me.  I don't stop being GOD and blessing you just because you made a bad choice."  HE went on to say; "This is what I want you to tell my children.  Help them to understand the true gift of grace.  Remember it can never be earned and I don't require you to earn it.  I have given it to you."  

And yes, HIS grace was sufficient for me my situation today.  I kept my peace and was shown the most amazing favor.  Some may say you still have to pay for that particular decision.  You're right I do. But not nearly as much as I would have without GOD's grace.  I walked away full of peace and joy.  Not because I made a mistake and I was excited about that.  But because there was no condemnation, there was favor beyond measure shown to me and GOD shielded me from so very much.  

As I have reflected on this today, it came to me that when GOD allows us to stay in situations it is for HIS glory.  Everything we do is about worshiping GOD and bringing HIM Glory. And some times our GOD decides that HE is going to show the enemy whose in charge.  Yes, we all know that GOD is in charge.  We also know that we are standing in a place of victory that can never be taken from us.  Yet, the enemy of our souls will try as hard as he can to convince us otherwise.  GOD will allow the enemy to do only so much and then GOD will prove...HE will prove who HE is and what HE has placed on the inside of us.  

Stop despising the situation you are in right now.  Everything works together for the good of those who love the LORD and who are called according to HIS purpose.  So if where you are right now isn't looking good remember to check your perspective and find the positive and to rest in the fact that if you're not currently in a good place, that this situation is not over, because GOD promises that it will end up for your good and our GOD cannot lie!
