Reckless

1 John 4:18-19 ESV
There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.  For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected  in love.  We love because HE first loved us.  

I've been listening to this song by Cory Ashbury called Reckless Love.  Usually when you hear the word reckless and it is used to describe something or someone it's not usually a good thought that comes to your mind.  You often think of someone who has no care or concern for their actions.

Yet, when you consider GOD's love it can be described as reckless with good cause.  For there is nothing that can stop it.  No action we can take; no words we can say. HE loves us and there's no devil in hell that can stop HIS love from finding us.  HE will leave the 99 every time to come for us.  The words to the songs chorus (or hook...I don't really know music on that level) says this... There's no shadow you won't light up, mountain you won't climb up, coming after me.  There's no wall you won't kick down, lie you won't tear down, coming after me.  Even to type these words brings a stirring in my soul that I cannot explain.  Oh how HE loves us!

The understanding of the Love of GOD has changed my life.  It continues to evolve me.  It continues to pursue me.  Not like a stalker who is unwanted and forceful.  Not someone who is dangerous towards us.  But GOD is not going to allow anything to stand between us and HIS love.  (Romans 8:38-39) JESUS was sent to die for our sins to prove it. 

Oh, my friend.  GOD is crazy about you.  HE thinks you are to die for, to be resurrected for and to take all condemnation for.  HE has freed you with HIS blood.  You are the righteousness of CHRIST.  Now and forevermore, walk in it.  GOD's love for you is eternal.  Choose to return that love today by surrendering your life to HIM.  Want to learn more about how to do so?  Then email me and I'll be glad to share the good news of CHRIST JESUS with you.  vivian@vivianbell.com.
