Day 22 - Forgotten Promises

Joshua 23:14 ESV

And now I am about to go the way of all the earth, and you know in your hearts and souls, all of you, that not one word has failed of all the good things that the LORD your GOD promised concerning you.  All have come to pass for you; not one of them has failed.

Today's challenge: Fulfill a forgotten promise.  Yep, that one right there.  The one that came to your mind as you read those words.  Let's be upfront and honest.  None of us are GOD.  We fail at times when it comes to promise keeping.  Yet, if we are going to strive to be more like GOD we can begin here with our character.  If there is a promise you didn't fulfill and you can, then do it. If you can't, acknowledge that to yourself and then to the person you made the promise to.  Let them know that I had every intention at the time of the promise to take care of this for you, yet I am unable to do so.  This speaks volumes.  

Admitting we are not able to fulfill a promise does not make us weak, it makes us trustworthy.  The other person now knows that you will still take responsibility for your commitments, even if you are unable to fulfill them.  

Pray for integrity, choose integrity and walk in a way that all around will see GOD in you and praise HIM.
