Ask for it!

James 1:5 ESV

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask GOD, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

I was reminded today to ask GOD for wisdom in all things.  GOD will often give us revelation.  The issue is that we may assume we know why.  Or we handle what HE has revealed to us this time, the same way we handled the last thing HE revealed to us.  But there's a purpose for everything that GOD does; including the things HE reveals to us.

Begin to ask GOD, "What do you want me to do with this information that you have revealed to me?"  "Should I pray only?"  "Should I go up?"  "Should I speak?"  The word tells us that GOD will give wisdom generously.  So ask GOD what is next.  Then be patient and wait for the answer.  While you're waiting praise HIM in advance.  For HE has promised to give you wisdom and so shall it be!
