The Power to Change

Romans 8:9-10 ESV
You however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of GOD dwells in you.  Anyone who does not have the Spirit of CHRIST does not belong to him.  But if CHRIST is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness.  

There comes a time in life when we have to examine ourselves and in truth make a decision to change.  If you ever come to a point in life where there is no change; then there is no growth. 

So often we can find many reasons for why we do not change.  We say things like " I can't."  or "this is how I am."  "I've always been this way." Yet we cry out to GOD and ask HIM to change our situations, change our marriages, our businesses, etc.  When in fact HE has been trying to do that all along. You just never knew it, because you refused to change and to grow when HE calls you to do so.  You see, the change starts with us.  We've got to get down right honest about who we are and the areas in our lives that we need to surrender to GOD and then do so.

If you refuse to change, what makes you think your situations will change?  Why would GOD give you something greater to be responsible for, when you won't even be responsible for you?  There is no reason why any child of GOD should live defeated.  I know the enemy of your soul works over time to ensure that you do. But I've got a word for you today; You've got the power to change.  You've got the power of JESUS CHRIST inside of you.  If you are HIS, then HE is yours and nothing and I do mean, NO-thing is stronger than our GOD.

Tap into that power today. Speak boldly the word of GOD over your life.  Know that in this season of pruning that GOD is not trying to hurt you or break you; HE wants to grow you and ensure that you are the best version of you everyday. 

No matter how much we grow in CHRIST, there will always be pruning. We just get to decide if we want to be pruned and grow in the fruit of the Spirit. Or if we want to remain the same, with the same results.  So what's it going to be?
