How Can You?

Matthew 6:24 ESV

"No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.  You cannot serve GOD and money."

How can you live your life to the fullest without making a decision to be devoted.  The scripture talks about faith, consistency and decisiveness.  I know it seems as simple as choosing GOD over money.  Yet, I believe it is so much deeper than that.  

The word master is used here.  To me it represents slavery and bondage.  What are you a slave to today? Is it procrastination?  Do you find yourself unable to stick to new habits and break old cycles?  Are you finding yourself sometimes in and sometimes out when it comes to being devoted to GOD's plan for your life?  Are you finding it hard to remain consistent?

Are you trying to break free from these things today?  Well, I submit to you that you try JESUS.  That you do it wholeheartedly.  I am not saying it will be easy, no decision is.  But once you make it, once you sell out to GOD, HE is going to help you.  GOD can do things for you that your money cannot buy.  

I believe money was used here for many reasons.  One is that it's our currency.  It is what we use to survive and provide basic needs and even many of our wants.  Yet, we can never ever allow it to be viewed as an equal to GOD.  GOD is our Savior.  HE gives us the ability to create wealth.  But HE does not intend for money, nor anything for that matter, to have a bound.  The only thing we should be bound to is HIM and it should be love and faith that binds us to GOD.  

I don't know what it is that you may be struggling with today, but I ask again.... How can you??? How can you go on without making a decision?  How can you go on without surrendering to GOD?  How can you ever become everything HE has called you to be without choosing HIM?  I encourage you to come into agreement with GOD's plan for your life.  I promise you that you're going to find that what HE has for you is so much better than anything you can work for or anything your money can buy.  With GOD HE can give you so much more and allow you to be so blessed that you are a blessing to everyone around you.  Make a choice today; make a choice now.
