While You Sleep
2 Kings 19:35 ESV
And that night the angel of the LORD went out and struck down 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians. And when people arose early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.
In this season, do not spend one moment worrying about anything. Not your enemies, not the doors that close. Don't concern yourself with unyielding bosses and situations. Let nothing and no one take your peace. I know that it appears you've run out of time. This very day may be the end of a deadline. Some of you may be worried about how you will provide for your families. Yet, I want to tell you that the GOD that we serve will take care of these matters while you sleep.
I believe sleep in this verse represents trust. It takes trust to sleep while everything around you appears to be in turmoil. It was the apostle Peter in Acts 12 that slept the night before he would be taken to trial and most likely killed. He slept so sound that the angel of the LORD had to strike him on his side to wake him. I want to encourage you to rest as he did. Yes, in the middle of the eviction, job loss and death of a loved one. I want to encourage you to believe GOD for HIS promises. HE will bring them to pass. HE will not forsake you. You too will wake up soon and find that GOD has taken care of everything while you slept.
Prepare now for the victory that GOD has promised you. Stretch out your tents. Dream again. Write the vision again. Prepare to receive supernatural creativity and new ideas. Prepare now for your victory; for it is even closer than you think!
