The Next Time Around

Mark 16:7 ESV

But go tell his disciples and Peter that he is going before you to Galilee.  There you will see him, just as he told you.

In the past when I've read this scripture, I see the message of a second chance.  How although Peter had denied Christ, that our LORD and Savior was giving him a second chance.  Yet, today, I feel pressed to look past just this message, and even the message to forgive, and to see the thing that sparked it all; love.    

It was God's love that led Him to send for Peter.  He made sure that Peter knew that He had not changed his mind about him.  Christ wanted Peter to know that the promises He had made to him would be kept.  It was important that Peter knew that a momentary mistake could never affect God's eternal love for him. 

Does your love ones know that about you today?  Do they know that you will love them past their mistakes and indiscretions?  Sometimes, all it takes is knowing that you are loved, believed in, forgiven and prayed for that will catapult a person into their next season; their best season of life.

Don't withhold your encouragement today. Don't withhold your love. For love makes all the difference in the world.  You don't think so?  Well, consider that without GOD's love you would not be where you are right now.  You wouldn't be reading this blog and you wouldn't have the opportunity you have today, to be the light to the world.  So take a moment and tell someone who needs to hear it that you love them.  Tell them thank you for all they've done.  Let them know that you still believe in them.  Show love today; be love today.  Give a person the fuel they need to be successful this next time around!
