Camouflage

Ephesians 6:10-11 ESV

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.  Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

Many of us enjoy watching sports.  We often have a favorite team and a favorite player that we watch the entire game.  Their jersey identifies them; giving their name and number.  This is how we know who's in the game.   Well, we've got our very own jersey for this spiritual show down.  However, our name is not on our jersey.  

I know you're wondering how does camouflage tie in with sports and names on jersey's etc....  Well, consider this.  The word of God says that we are putting on the whole armor of God.  His name is on his armor.  It is distinctively his.  So when we are wearing his armor (jersey) when the enemy sees us in the spirit, he does not know if he is fighting God or if he is fighting us.  With God's armor comes God's power, victories and undisputed reputation.  God's armor has indeed become our Camouflage in the spirit.  It is because of God's armor that we stand against the schemes of the enemy.  The word starts out saying, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.  When you put on his armor the undeniable strength of God is yours.  

Whatever you are facing may seem overwhelming, overpowering, and out of your control. But I am here to tell you today, that it is not.  Get dressed in God's armor. Stand and fight for what is yours!  Opposition will come; it is to be expected; but it is also to be defeated.  Stand strong in the Lord and declare his word over your life (the sword of the spirit).  The pastor who shared this thought said this... The only thing that gives us away when we are in battle and informs the enemy that it is not God in the armor standing before him, are the words that we allow to come out of our mouths.  Do not allow your words to betray you today. Speak what God speaks and stand on his word.  You will not be defeated!!!
