The Heart of God

John 3:16-17 ESV

For God So loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

The view of the heart of God, has in time been distorted by the enemy of our souls.  So often we are led to believe that God is something that He is not.  God is not in heaven just waiting to condemn you for every little thing you do.  He has not set you up to perish. Quite the contrary.  Our God gave life and shed blood so that we could be reconciled back to Him once and for all.  He then got up from the grave and sealed the deal!  

The enemy has yet to make a move that will take away our victorious state; and he never will.  When the blood of this lamb (Jesus Christ) was shed; it was indeed finished.  He nailed your sin, condemnation and death to the cross.  

It is good that we feel remorse when we have done something wrong, sinned or harmed someone.  But God does not want you to live in condemnation. This is why he paid for that as well with His one sacrifice. 

It is my prayer today, that you will have a clear and truthful view of the heart of God and that you will begin to see yourself the way that HE sees you.  You are priceless to Him; thus He paid the ultimate price to redeem you.  Make whatever corrections necessary so that you may live the life God has called you to live.  But do it in the presence of our loving Father.  Do so knowing that whatever  you've done is no surprise to God. For, He knew all of this when He shed is blood for you.  Do it knowing that you are the apple of His eye.  Do so knowing that you are doing it from a place of victory; for God has already paid the ultimate sacrifice for sin.  Do it knowing that God has plans for you and that they are to give you a hope and a future.  

Do everything you do, knowing that God loves you.  Let His love be the very thing that draws you to Him and that allows Him to use you to be the face of that very love to this world.
