Arm Yourself

Hebrews 4:12 NKJV

For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of thoughts and intents of the heart.  

What if I told you that someone was planning to bum rush your home?   What if I told you that they were bringing weapons to destroy and to take away your family and loved ones who reside with you?  What would you  do?  I I told you that I have a weapon that will defeat them all and that if you would accept this weapon, it came with a team of individuals to help you fight who have never lost a fight....what would you do then?  Would you just go home, lay down and go on about your day as if you never received this news?

Sounds strange and unlikely you say..... Well,  that is exactly what you do when you refuse to study the word of God.  I'm too tired..... I worked late.... I've got too much to do.... I'll find some time later.  You in essence take the only weapon that guarantees you victory and toss it aside.  Then you are frustrated with God when you're taking blows, cuts and you have lasting scars to prove you've been in an all out war. 

I want to encourage you today to pick up your sword (the word of God).  Dust it off and prepare yourself for battle.  It is the words of your mouth that will determine your victory.  Why not make the words that leave your mouth the words that God has spoken.  For they are undeniably victorious in every battle and at all times.
