Be Bold

Hebrews 4:16 ESV

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Have you ever paid attention to a person who is confident?  They are usually the person with the microphone in their hands in a crowded room.  Have you ever wondered how they became so confident?  Have you ever thought... "There's no way that I could get in front of a room and do that.."?  Well, the key to confidence is knowledge.

For us as believers we can come to God's throne with confidence (boldly) when we know that God is our Father; when we know that He will withhold no good thing from us.  Knowing is different than hearing.  We may hear about something that took place in a celebrity's life; but we don't actually know the individual.  We only know what has been told to us.  

Do you know God? Or are you basing your opinion of Him on what you've been told?  I encourage you to know Him for yourself. For in Him you will find the answers to every question, situation or concern.  When we choose to develop a relationship with God, it changes our whole lives.  When we begin to understand His love for us, we too will have confidence.  The kind of confidence that gives us the boldness to approach His throne with expectation in our hearts.  Knowing that He hears us and will respond to our requests.
