Believe God

James 2:23 KJV

And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him as righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.

If I can tell anyone, anything; it would be to believe God.  No matter your situation.  No matter how bad it seems.  No matter how long you've had to wait; keep right on believing God.  I know what it is to be called crazy.  I know what it is to look and feel crazy when you are standing on the word of God and no one else understands.  I know what it is to have people leave you because they can no longer distract you.  I know what it is to have to leave others so that I can stay focused and keep my hands to the plow.  I know what it's like to have people question what God has said to me.  I know what it is to be disappointed because you feel like God missed the deadline; and now your situation appears to be even more dire than before.  You know like when Mary and Martha sent for Jesus, but Lazarus died before He arrived.  

Although, I have experienced all of these things I've mentioned, I have also seen the hand of God move.  I've seen with my very own eyes miracles performed, people being healed and God answering prayers.  I have a history with God.  I bet if you take a moment and look back over your life, you'll find that you do as well.

God has many titles.  Because although He is one God, He is our everything.  Our provider, our deliverer our way maker and our healer.  He is our burden bearer and the lifter of our heads.  Sometimes our tough situations are the only way we will see all the things that God is.  You wouldn't know he's a provider if you have always and forever been able to pay every last one of  your bills on your own.  But when you're without a job, without a spouse; without everything, except a God to whom you pray and He hears you and answers you......  Glory to God!  Now you know Him for yourself.  

It is hard going through trials, but believe me when I tell you, that when God walks through them with you and brings you out on the other side, you will never forget it and your faith is increased.

Today, I encourage you to believe God.  But don't just believe that He exists.  (Of course this is where you start.)  But believe Him!  Believe His word and in His power. Believe that He has already provided.  Believe God.  Oh, how beautiful it is to know God and to be called His friend.
