Things Have Changed
Isaiah 43:19-19 NKJV
Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
Things have changed. You've seen so many dark days; I know. But don't allow what you've seen and what you've been through to make you miss what God is doing in this season. What I believe is that this change in season is more than just for a season. I believe that the changes you will see will be permanent.
Christ said that He came to give us an abundant life. I dare you to believe Him to create/bring abundance into every area of your life that looks and or feels like a desert place. HE has said to forget the former things. I thought I really understood that until this morning when I saw it on a different level.
God is saying in essence, I know what you've seen; I know this time looks just like where you were before, but forget those things. They are not what you need to be focused on. See, I'm doing something different this time, do you not know it? Have you not perceived it? Do you not perceive that I am moving on your behalf? Do you not know that I am indeed performing miracles for you?
He said I will do a new thing. Not that he might or perhaps. He's given you a definitive statement. He then follows it up with a promise to make a road in the wilderness and rivers in a desert. Both are things that may seem to be impossible. The two comparisons are completely total opposites. But our God does not need for things to make sense on a human level. He only needs for you to believe every promise that He's whispered to you.
Don't worry if others don't believe. Don't worry if they talk about you or call you a fool for believing. Let none of these things sway you. Begin to prepare for the promises of God. For they are indeed yes and amen. Our God will always keep His word.
