In the Meantime
Genesis 21:1 NKJV
And the LORD visited Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah as He had spoken. For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.
When God speaks a thing to us, it is already done. We are not actually waiting on God to do what He has spoken to us; we're waiting for the time He has set for us to see the thing that He has spoken. So what do we do in the meantime.
The word meantime (meanwhile) is defined as the intervening period of time. There is a time set in which the very thing God told you will take place. I want to encourage you to wait on God and to wait well. How do I wait well, you may ask? I counter your question with one..... How do you not? The God of Heaven (for whom it is impossible to lie) has given you His word and if for no other reason than His word, He is going to fulfill the promise He has made to you.
So, in the meantime, praise Him; prepare for the thing He has promised. Act like it has already happened. For to God, it already has!
