So Soon

Matthew 21:20-22 NKJV

And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, "How did the fig tree wither away so soon?"  So Jesus answered and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' it will be done.  And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."

The disciples are like many of us at times.  We believe the word of God to be true, yet we lack the expectation for it to take place in the moment He speaks it to our spirit.  I know that you've been disappointed in the past.  Perhaps something you've prayed about before did not take place in the timing you expected.  Maybe it has yet to come to past.  Yet, I want to encourage you to remain in expectation of God.  For the words that follow in this scripture are in deed for you.  For the Lord tells us that whatever we ask in prayer, believing we will receive.  Trust the timing of God and trust His word.  Our God cannot lie.  Expect it to happen soon!  God can change a situation in but a moment.  Will you believe Him for soon?
