15D-The Gift of Prayer

Ephesians 6:18 NLT

Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion.  Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.  

During this season, we're often set out to find the perfect gift.  To find the thing that will make our loved ones happy on Christmas morning.  Yet, we fail to give the best gift; prayer.  What's better for anyone you know, than to have had a candid conversation with our Lord and Savior about them?  The gift of prayer is priceless.  God is the only one who can ultimately fix every situation, so why not start there? 

Through prayer you can change your neighborhood.  Pray for the drug dealers and drug users and all forms of crime to be removed from your neighborhood.  Pray for the teachers at your children's school; pray that they may remain dedicated to education and not to how many years they have left before retirement or that their love for teaching every child remains.  Pray so that each and every student gets the best of their teachers every day.  Pray for your mom to be healed from cancer.  Pray for your boss to know the Lord.  Pray, pray and keep on praying!  Give the gift that is a great gift in any season.
