Leap for Love - Love Speaks

1 Corinthians 13:1-2 American Standard Version (ASV)

13 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal. And if I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.

Without love we are nothing. Without God (love) we are nothing. Nothing!

Today I want to challenge you, not to speak in tongues, but to use your tongue to bless someone. Let the sincere words I love you leave your lips today. Pray and ask God to lead you to the person for whom you are to bless with the knowledge of your love. Submit your whole heart to God.  It may be your spouse, child or co-worker. Or it just may be that neighborhood whose dog won't stay out of your flower bed. But whomever God instructs you to, go and speak what He tells you to speak.

Perhaps today is the day that you stop holding back your "I love you" because the person (spouse, friend, etc.) was wrong. Love is not something that you hold hostage or keep score on. Love is not bait you use to get what you want. Love is not conditional. For this I will be eternally grateful. As I could never in and of myself create a condition in which I would be worthy of God's love and sacrifice. Yet He gives it freely.  Will you allow God to use your heart and lips today?
