Identity Crisis

Genesis 1:27 NIV

So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.  

Identity crisis is defined as a period of uncertainty and confusion when a person's sense of identity becomes insecure.  Many are feeling lost due to the recent changes in this world. If you have struggled with knowing who you are after losing a job, a loved one or a failed relationship, I have news for you today.  The one in whose image we were created is still the same.  God has not changed.  He did not lose power because of a pandemic that man didn't know would occur.  None of this is a surprise to God.  The God we serve knows all.  He does not always choose to rescue us from a thing.  For if He always rescued us; how then would we know that He is mighty to also keep us in and through a thing? 

Identity is the fact of being who or what a person or thing is.  Our God is God!  He never changes.  Nothing can defeat Him.  He is for us and lives on the inside of all of His children.  So take another look in that mirror and dare to see your Heavenly Father's strength, power and might. Then walk into this day full of faith that God is for you and that you are already victorious!
