In the Moment

 

Mark 9:23 NKJV

Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”

In the moment, this statement was made a man had bought his son to Jesus to be healed.  He said Lord if you can do anything, help us.  He was saying Lord I am not sure if you can, but if you can, please do it.  The Lord’s reply let the man know that it was his belief that would make the difference.  It has never been about God’s power and if He could do a thing.  He can do anything.  With God all things are possible.  It is our faith that makes the difference.  So, this man had to decide in that moment if unbelief or faith was going to win out.  Seems like a simple enough decision, right?  May I ask… do you believe?
