The Potter's Wheel

Jeremiah 18:1-4 NIV

This is the word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord: "Go down to the potter's house, and there I will give you my message."  So, I went down to the potter's house, and I saw him working at the wheel.  But the pot he was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so, the potter formed it into another pot, shaping it as seemed best to him.

 

"Stay on the wheel.  I can change you into something beautiful.  You have no idea what my plans are for you and the beautiful, finished work you will be when I am finished.  Let me finish my work, in my time.  Trust me."

 

If you are reading this, you are alive, and God is not finished with you.  Allow God to lead you in every area of your life.  Give Him full access to your heart.  Do not worry about what He may add or subtract.  God has promised to bless you as His child.  So, if you are looking or feeling a little marred in your current situation, do not despair.  God will not leave you in this state.  He has plans for your life.  However, God will not force you to stay on the wheel.  It is a choice.  I pray you will choose to believe God, obey God, and live for Him.  I promise you; He will indeed make all things beautiful in its time.
