Because God......

 

Isaiah 53:4-6 NIV

 Surely, he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.  But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.  We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.  

 

Today, I want to remind you that our God got up!  That means you can too.  Jesus did not get up to just show off His power.  He could have done that from Heaven.  He came to this earth, died, and conquered death, hell, and the grave to redeem us back to Him.  He paid the ultimate price, once and for all, for all.  He came for you and when He got up, He did so with all power, the power over all things.  Even the particular thing you are dealing with and fighting right now.  Because God made such a sacrifice, you can get up too!

 

So, get up!  Make the choice today, to walk in the newness of life He paid for.  Even if you can only make the decision to live in His grace minute by minute. Then make the decision, minute by minute.  Soon those minutes will turn into hours.  The hours to days. The days to weeks.  The weeks to months.  The months to years.  Then before you know it you will look back at a life lived for Jesus.
