Over it!

Choosing to speak about the good only is not denial; it is a conscious decision to let your issues know that your God is bigger!   

The word of God tells us that life and death are in the power of our tongue. (Psalm 18:21) It also tells us that as a man thinketh in his heart so is he.  (Proverbs 23:7)  In the VBS version (Vivian Bell Speaks) it sounds like this… If you get what you speak and you become what you think, then speak good and set your thoughts on the good and you will live good and become good.  The only truly good thing is Jesus.  He is the only one who walked this earth without sin and shed his blood for all of ours. 

So, choose today to set your heart on him.  Choose today to speak of all the wonderous works that He has already performed in your life. Choose to praise Him, not because you were told to praise Him. But because you have chosen to praise Him. Praise him because it is the only gift that seems to come close to being sufficient as you dwell on His goodness.  Choose to look at the thing that appears to be over your head and command it to become low under the feet of your testimony of God’s goodness.  For we overcome by the blood of the lamb and words of our very own testimonies (Revelations 12:11).
