Take the Step

My week started off with hearing these words…. “Take the Step”. Some words that you hear although, they may appear common, can resonate with your soul in such a way that you know it means something far more than what you can currently comprehend.  This was one of those moments.  I threw my hands in the air and came into agreement with these words.  I wasn’t even sure what exactly the step was or what it looked like; I just knew I this word was for me. 

As I now consider all the things that have transpired over this week thus far, my heart smiles and is even more excited about all God has in store.  I know that this next step; test and season of my life will be different. Not because of the overflow and abundance in my life that WILL transpire.  But because my perspective is different.  My soul is resolute in knowing that before the step is taken, that I can rest in the God who ordered it. 

That sounds like a no-brainer, right?  Well, what I have discovered in my relationship with God is that as we continue to seek him and draw closer to Him, and He to us, our perspective of who God really is changes.  Like in any relationship, the longer you spend loving and getting to know a person, the closer you become to them.  Your loyalty and love increase, and the imperfections no longer matter.  As you learn more and more each day that you can count on them and put the full weight of your trust in them, the love you share evolves.  It is the same with God.  Knowing that God knows me, all my flaws, failures and imperfections and still calls me His beloved…. That kind of love is your assurance that He will never leave you, nor forsake you.  Rest in His Love today. And as He directs you, take the step.
