Now Unto HIM

 Now Unto HIM

As I listened to a sermon last week these words stuck out to me.  “Now unto HIM”.  Now meaning in the present moment (dictionary.com).  Unto is used to indicate reference or concern (Merriam-Webster.com).  HIM – (all caps) GOD.

So, in essence (or the VB version – Vivian Bell) these three words mean to: right now in this moment give all that concerns you to God.

(Of course, I had to consult rabbi google 😊), and I found that this term was found in two scriptures.

Ephesians 3:20

King James Version

20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Jude 24-25

New King James Version

Glory to God

24 Now to Him who is able to keep [a]you from stumbling, And to present you faultless Before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, 25 To [b]God our Savior, [c]Who alone is wise, Be glory and majesty, Dominion and [d]power, Both now and forever. Amen.

What these two scriptures tell me is this….  That we can give every care and concern to the all-wise God.  A God who exceeds our wildest imagination, who exceeds the level of joy we can even hope to have.  That our God has all dominion and power and that HE allows that power to work in and through us HIS children.

What I know is that I choose to shift my perspective and set my eyes on the one and only God of Heaven.  I choose to give and trust HIM with all my cares and concerns and to believe HIM to excel my wildest expectation when I pray.

Won’t you join me in adjusting your perspective.  Won’t you join me in giving your cares to God and then praising HIM in advance for working it all out for your good.  Our God is faithful.
