Seeing You

The way in which you see yourself makes all the difference in the world.  This picture reminds me of a time in my life when I would look in the mirror, but never looked at myself.  You may ask how is this possible?  Well, I would look at my clothes to make sure everything fit properly.   I would brush my teeth and comb my hair, but never would I look myself in the eyes.

I look back now, and I see how in that season I attracted some things and some people that were not good for me at all.  Yet, now as I see me, both physically and spiritually, I am grateful for that time. There were lessons learned that now give me the strength to stand boldly in my own skin and celebrate the me that God created.
